So, are you looking to buy an RC car for yourself. Well, then let me explain to you about onroad electric cars. If you're a beginner and new to the RC world then this would be a wise option for you. The main reasons being that electric onroad cars are easy to assemble, maintain, and don't require nitro fuel to operate! All you have to do is charge your battery and plug it into your car and off you go.
There are many different companies that make onroad rc cars. The most popular companies include Tamiya, HPI, Yokomo and Associated. There are also other companies that you can look at if they interest you, but you should always keep into account spare part availability as some companies may offer expensive spares.
If you are new, then the best RC kit to buy would be the Tamiya TT01! This is one of the BEST selling chassis out there that offers durability and is very cost effective. Its a base model that cost very little and can be modified to a higher level as you gain more experience and get comfortable with your car. It will roughly cost you around $160-$220 to get a nice kit which is Ready to Run out of the box, just a little bit of assembly would be required.
Another great RC chassis would be the HPI E10 or the HPI Sprint 2 Drift chassis, depending on your taste. I would recommend the Sprint 2 Drift because you can really go SIDEWAYS with this baby!!! The Sprint is a more higher level model than the TT01 since it has more features already installed in the chassis which you would have to buy for TT01 otherwise. It comes with full ball bearing set and other aluminum parts such as gear spur which create less friction and optimum performance. Be sure to check this one out if you're looking to spend a little more cash! COST: $220-250 RTR.
Be sure to check out the company website of HPI and Tamiya to get more information on these chassis and research a bit before you make your buy!
